After a challenging few years many children are struggling behaviorally, creating more complex roles for teachers. During this session we will dive into the "why" behind a variety of behaviors, discuss simple ways to build meaningful relationships, and explore effective ways to minimize behaviors. At the end of the presentation participants will be able to confidently walk into their classroom ready to build relationships with all children, with a fresh view on behavior management, which will allow you to spend more time focused on academics. Discussion will be backed with up-to-date research from Conscious Discipline, Growth Mindset, and Cindy Jones.
